Carson Henley is an American singer-songwriter and pianist from Kent, Washington, United States.[1]
Early life[edit]
Carson grew up as the oldest of three children born to a professional singer in the Seattle, Washington area.[2] Carson is the older brother of singer songwriter Tess Henley.[3] Henley graduated from Kentlake High School in Kent, Washington in 2004, where he was awarded a Washington Scholar scholarship, receiving a full four year academic scholarship to any university of his choice in the state of Washington. He started taking Suzuki Method piano lessons at the age of 3.[4][5] In 2008, Henley graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business and Marketing.[6]
Career[edit]
In 2008, Henley released his debut album, Green Eyed Soul.[7] In July 2012, Henley released his sophomore studio album, 100 Hours.[8] The album was written and recorded in 100 waking hours and chronicled in a 48-minute documentary called The 100 Hour Project.[9] Henley was named a Top 10 Finalist in Guitar Center’s Nationwide Singer-Songwriter Competition in 2013.[10]
