Cascade Lacrosse is the leading manufacturer of lacrosse helmets, headgear, and eye masks for male and female athletes at all levels of the sport.[1][2] The company was founded in 1986 by Bill Brine and operates under the Peak Achievement Athletics company. Cascade is the choice of top lacrosse athletes, and its equipment is worn by over 70% of NCAA Division 1 teams, including notable schools like the 2017 Champions Maryland and 2018 champions Yale. Other schools include Notre Dame, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Syracuse, and Penn State.
Cascade Lacrosse is headquartered in Liverpool, NY, and serves the USA, Canada, and internationally.
History
Cascade has successfully evolved over its 33-year history. Since its establishment, the company has been dedicated to improving lacrosse sports equipment. In June 2012, Bauer Performance Sports acquired Cascade Lacrosse to form Cascade Maverik Lacrosse, LLC. With dedicated research and development, Cascade Maverik Lacrosse, LLC has reached a point where they fulfill custom orders in under 48 hours.[3][4]
Since 2000, Cascade has been a top helmet sponsor of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). Today, Cascade is the official helmet sponsor of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).
In February 2016, Cascade launched the Cascade LX women's lacrosse headgear, the first integrated system to meet newly approved ASTM standards for women's lacrosse headgear and goggles.
Products
Cascade currently offers four lines of helmets for men's lacrosse: S Youth, CPV-R, CPX-R, and S. All helmets meet or exceed NOCSAE standards.[5] For women's lacrosse and field hockey, the company currently offers one line of eyewear: The PolyArc Goggles. The PolyArc Goggles meet the standards required by NFHS for field hockey.
Cascade provides the option for athletes to customize their equipment to meet their needs. Player safety is the company's utmost concern[6], and they pay close attention to it while developing its products.[7]
