Cascade School

Cascade School was a boarding school facility founded by Michael Allgood in 1980, for the purpose of reforming underage persons. It was based on a behavior modification model developed by Chuck E. Dederich, founder of Synanon. Cascade School was affiliated with the CEDU boarding school network founded by Mel Wasserman, a disciple of Dederich. The Cascade School closed in 2005. The facility was purchased by the River View Christian Academy, which continues the program under a Christian paradigm.[citation needed]
This 2-year program focused on emotional growth, was well as academics and group therapy. There were a series of eight workshops called The Truth, The Youth, The Friends, The Sisters/Brothers, The Heroes, The imagine, The I and Me, and the Symposium.[1]
