Casey Cannon
Casey Cannon (/ born ) is an American screenwriter, producer and visual effects artist who has worked on a wide range of television series and movies. A member of the Producers Guild and Visual Effects Society, Cannon has produced for musical luminaries, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Prince and others, while crafting visual effects on such feature films and television projects, including Titanic, Men in Black, Public Enemy, Twister, Vanilla Sky, Twister, Jerry Maguire, The MTV Movie Awards, The Walking Dead and John Adams. Cannon co-wrote and produced the theatrical short “A Beautiful Day”, for Academy Award Nominated Cinematographer turned Director, Phedon Papamichail and fellow producer, Angeliki Giannakopoulos.
Casey Cannon produced 2018 feature film, Cliffs of Freedom, a timeless story of bravery, faith and romance between a young Greek village girl and a Turkish Ottoman Colonel during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence. Inspired by events in the early 19th Century, Cliffs of Freedom stars Billy Zane, Christopher Plummer, Patti LuPone and Tania Raymonde (full cast list) telling the epic story of the Greek struggle for freedom. It is the directorial debut from Van Ling (Terminator 2 Marianne Metropoulos.
Casey Cannon studied at UCLA before taking her first job as a co-ordinator for Industrial Light & Music in 1988; from then she went on to become Associate Producer at Lightstorm Entertainment, CEO Creative Producer at Banned From the Ranch before joining Ranchworkd Unlimited - Ranchworks Picture Show where she has worked for the past nineteen years.
Casey Cannon lives in Los Angeles, California.
