Casey Smith (songwriter)
Casey Cathleen Smith (born February 19, 1995) is an American songwriter[1] and vocalist from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She first developed her interest in music as a child performing in musicals at Oklahoma City University[2]. Casey moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue a professional career as a songwriter. In mid-2016, she signed a worldwide publishing deal to Ryan Tedder's Patriot Games Publishing[3] . Smith has penned songs like "Stranger Things" for Kygo ft. One Republic[4] , "Chances" for Backstreet Boys[5], "Cool"[6] by Jonas Brothers - Songfacts|last=Songfacts|website=www.songfacts.com|language=en|access-date=2019-06-10}}</ref> and "Rollercoaster"[7] for Jonas Brothers, "Jealous" for Ingrid Michaelson[8], "Figured Out"[9] and "Moral of the Story" for Ashe [10] and "Wordsmith" for Bülow.[11] Most recently, Casey co-wrote on One Republic's single "Wanted" [12] Casey currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband Zach Skelton, who is a songwriter & producer.[13]
