Cassidy Early

Cassidy Early (born 1994) is an American painter, based in Chicago. Their paintings are focused on the queer body.[1]

Biography

Cassidy Early was born in 1994 in Worcester, Massachusetts.[2] They are Scottish American, trans, and non-binary.[3][4] Early's interest in art began from drawing and pop culture influences including video games, the Dragon Ball Z television series, fantasy literature, and tabletop role-playing games.[2]

They received a BFA degree in 2016, from Boston University College of Fine Arts; and graduated with an MFA degree in 2020, from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in studio, painting, and drawing.[2][5][better source needed] Early was awarded the School of Art Institute of Chicago Dean's Scholarship from Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists Residency in 2019.[5][better source needed]
