Cassie Graves (born June 10, 1991) is a British singer-songwriter, former YouTuber, and activist from South-East London.
Graves is known widely for her advocacy of Trimethylaminuria awareness, having appeared in international media, and most notably in Princess Productions' Medical Mysteries on UK's Channel 5, and a number of print, television, radio and online publications. Graves also supported Kinetic Comedy, a lively multicultural monthly event that showcases the best up and coming comedy acts interspersed with games, competitions and music, created by Inel Tomlinson.
Graves was born and raised in South-East London. She was educated at Haberdashers Aske's Hatcham College, and Christ The King Sixth Form College, where she studied music.[1] In 2015-2018, Graves studied Psychology at University of East London.
Graves began to sing at an early age, and at the age of 7 started to learn to play the piano, violin and guitar. In 2008, Graves set up the YouTube channel cassg08, and started posting music and vlogs to a small audience. She first came to prominence by collaborating with other users such as NSG, and hosting YouTube events, leaving the platform in 2011 following the release of two music videos with fellow YouTubers.
Graves has performed across the UK, eventually touring part of North-West Germany with Adam Burrows and ODi in May 2015.[2][3]
After a run of bandcamp releases, in July 2015 Graves released FAQ Vol. 1,[4] a collaborative EP with artist 8-2nds, initially intended to be a 4 part EP series. After performing at her EP launch in Hackney, East London, Graves announced a hiatus to focus on university.
In 2022, Graves released a new YouTube video announcing her official return to social media, and teased that new music is to be expected in 2022.

TMAU activism[edit]
In 2014, Graves was first featured in the Daily Mail, the Daily Mirror, and The Metro UK newspapers in both print and Online,[5] giving an interview about her experiences with Trimethylaminuria, a rare metabolic disorder that causes her to smell of rotting fish. The article was later repurposed in media across the globe, most notably by HuffPost.[6]
In 2016, Graves was then featured in Princess Productions' Medical Mysteries on UK's Channel 5, which went on a journey to find an official diagnosis for the condition, and again sparked a global media interest in the condition.
Personal life[edit]
Graves currently lives in London with her husband.
In 2022, Graves appeared on episode #15.100 of The Chase (British game show), competing against Darragh Ennis. She reached the final alongside teammate Henrik, ultimately losing in the final chase.
