A rock festival, or rock fest, is a large-scale outdoor rock music concert, featuring multiple acts, often spread out over several days. Some rock festivals focus on specific genres of rock music, such as heavy metal festivals, industrial festivals, jam band festivals, punk rock festivals, and K-pop festivals. Note that many pop festivals (festivals focused on multiple genres of pop music) are also classified as rock festivals, and the terms "rock festival" and "pop festival" have been used interchangeably since the late 1960s.
