This category is for the navy of Canada known as the Royal Canadian Navy. The RCN received its Royal Charter in 1911 and existed until 1968 when it was dissolved to become Maritime Command within the unified Canadian Forces. In 2011 MARCOM was renamed Royal Canadian Navy, restoring the name for the service.
