Catherine Garcia is an American news anchor and journalist. She has been the co-anchor (along with Mark Mullen) for KNSD-TV in San Diego at 4 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm since 2003.[1] Before she worked for NBC, she was the anchor for WFAA in Dallas, Texas. She has covered topics including the fentanyl crisis in San Diego.[2]

Garcia was born in Los Angeles and attended the University of Southern California for college.[3] She graduated with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish.

After graduating she became an anchor for WFAA, but after that she worked as a reporter and anchor in Austin and El Paso.

She became a journalist when working at CNN Headquarters in Atlanta, and eventually came to San Diego.

Her Instagram[4] says she's a fan of the USC Trojans, good food, and travel. She has two cats and two dogs. Her husband is named Tad and her son is named Jackson.[5]
