Causeway are a modern slavery and crime reduction charity who support marginalised and vulnerable people to recover from trauma and develop safe and fulfilling futures [1]. Their modern slavery and crime reduction services include safe houses, outreach and community programmes, holistic crisis interventions and signposting into counselling, training and employment. They also drive change nationally through research, campaigning and strategic partnerships. [2]

The charity's head office is in Sheffield, with further offices in Liverpool, Sunderland and Manchester. Many of Causeway's modern slavery services take place in Cheshire, County Durham, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Northumberland, Teesside, Tyne and Wear and Yorkshire, although some do operate elsewhere. Their criminal justice services are predominantly hosted in Merseyside and Yorkshire. They do campaigning, educational projects, networking building and partnerships UK wide. [3]

Causeway's previous Chief Executive Officer was Ed Newton, however since November 2023 Helen Ball has held the position [4]. The Chief Operating Officer is Amy Bond, the Chief Finance Officer is Deep Mistry and the Chair of Trustees is Jennie Oswald [5].

Causeway have been a prominent charity featured in the media, and have had coverage across many outlets including the BBC [6], ITV [7], Metro [8], and The Big Issue [9]. They have gained support from celebrities including Stephen Fry [10], Dr Ranj Singh [11]and Mr Motivator [12].
