Craig Harris (born September 12, 1982), known professionally as CedaCash, is an American rapper, producer, entrepreneur and songwriter. He was the founder of Empire Entertainment, owner of Bank Vault Studio's, and he is an ambassador to StreetView Television. He was signed to Babylon Management from 2010 - 2013, is a Ruff Ryder's affiliate, and a Plane's Crew member (clothing company of Roc Nation).

Born and raised in Philadelphia in his childhood years, while also living in New York City as well in his early 20's, CedaCash began his music career in 2000. He would later began the idea of Empire Entertainment in the year 2003, but founded it in 2005, along with Ghetto Empire Publishing. He was a member of The Hustler's Union group from 2010 - 2012.

During his highly active period (2006 - 2016), CedaCash released 1 studio album, 4 mixtapes, and various singles and random songs on multiple platforms. He has collaborated on a several songs with other artists and producers, and has ghostwritten a few songs for multiple artists as well. Although he is currently active, CedaCash had begin to slowly put out a few songs since 2016, most notably being a single called All About The Money on Apple Music and Spotify, before announcing his "retirement" from music.

Early Life

CedaCash was born in the Logan section of North Philadelphia in 1982. He is the fifth child of 7 siblings, consisting of four sisters and two brothers. While growing up in the 80's and early 90's, he was introduced to music and frequent trips to NYC by his family. His mother would play artist such as Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, and Luther Vandross, while his father would play The Temptations, Miles Davis, and occasionally MC Hammer. They later became Jehovah's Witnesses and tried to prohibit rap music from being played in the household. CedaCash would still get introduced to it by means of his older sisters, who played artist such as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, NWA, and Run DMC, which eventually caused a young CedaCash to began his freestyling to songs. By the mid 90's, he was already rapping heavily during his high school years, after being heavily inspired by artist such as Notorious BIG, Jay-Z, and Nas. By the late 90's, he was living rebelliously and was given an ultimatum by his parents: either follow their religion, or leave. He chose the latter, and moved to New York City to continue his life of smoking, drinking, and having sex with women. Eventually, he would make his way back to Philadelphia by the morning of September 11, 2001.

Music Career

2000-2006: The beginning

During these years, CedaCash would battle anyone he met on the street in NYC and Philadelphia. He did not start recording and putting out music until 2004, so his track record of professional recorded music is slim during these years. After being incarcerated in 2003, he signed to Larue Records and The Heat From The Streets owner George Larue. After recording two mixtapes, Cash: The Mixtape and World Premiere, and one demo project at The Beat Factory Studio, CedaCash and Larue Records parted ways due to differences in career direction.

2007-2010: Free Agency

After the emergence of social media (Myspace, Facebook, etc), CedaCash decided to utilize these platforms to try to obtain success. In 2007, he gained some traction on Myspace after releasing a song called Time 2 Get Paid, and gained a little over 5 million plays in a few months. This led to him getting his first feature from a major artist, Freck Billionaire, on a song called A-Bombs. He released a mixtape called Cash Creed in 2010, which featured artist Freck Billionaire, Laythoven, Bishop, and Young Hot, with various producers including CedaCash. The mixtape did not do well, mainly due to lack of marketing and promotion, as well as it being a stream-only project, which was fairly new at the time.

Despite the results of the numbers behind the mixtape, CedaCash was still progressing in notoriety for his lyrical prowess. He signed with an overseas company, Babylon Management, founded by Ela Cat and Tuba. This lead to him becoming a Ruff Ryder affiliate and scoring some features from RR artist such as Mic Supreme out of Chicago and C-Stacks in Boston. During this period, he released studio album Undisputed, which was solely produced by himself, and featured lead single What It Is. Shortly after, CedaCash and C-Stacks released a joint EP on SoundCloud called Boston 2 Philly which showed more of his versatility. He later became friends with Swizz Beatz's protege producer NeoDaMatrix and rap artist Drag-On, with Neo later producing a few tracks for CedaCash.

2011-2016: Fire Music Everyday

Due to the explosion social had at the time and the impact it had on music, CedaCash decided to try a new format: Fire Music Everyday. This idea revolved around him picking a beat, writing and recording the song, and releasing it all in the same day for 2 weeks straight on multiple occasions. Songs such as Big Money (produced by NeoDaMatrix), Built For War (produced by Cardiak), and Eye Of The Storm were among the daily drops. CedaCash also gained the attention of super-producer Jimi Kendricks, in which he scored beats for multiple un-released songs he recorded. He ended this period with the song Miracle, which was produced by the legendary Just Blaze, and then announced on social media he had retired.

2022-Present: The Comeback
