cellasys is a spin-off company from Technical University of Munich that supplies technologies and services for microphysiometry. It delivers systems solutions for analysis of living cellular models..[1].

cellasys is working at the interface between electrical engineering and living systems. It's technology is used to replace animal experiments[2] or to determine therapies for individualized cancer treatment[3].

cellasys was founded in 2007 by Dr. Joachim Wiest, the company's chief executive, Prof. Dr. Bernhard Wolf, Dr. Helmut Herz and Herbert Zuleger[1].

In 2018 cellasys was shortlisted for the Lush Prize in the category science for it's Skin-on-a-Chip technology[4]

cellasys was listed among the top 30 companies in the Organ-on-a-Chip field in 2019[5] and developed the first automated multichannel tissue-on-a-chip system maintaining an air-liquid interface together with MatTek in 2020[6]
