Centre For National Culture, Accra (Art Centre) Center for National Culture, Accra (Art Centre) was established in 1961 by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Ghana's first president.

Centre For National Culture, Accra is under the ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture and is mandated through the National Commission on Culture to promote, preserve and develop cultural excellence.

Art Gallery[edit]

The Art gallery’s collection includes Ghanaian and Africa paintings and works on canvas by contemporary artists.

Other international aspects of the collection include an Iranian works, a selection of 20th century art, and the decorative arts collection, which ranges across textiles, ceramics and furniture. The gallery also collects Ghanaian arts.

The Centre runs a large traditional textile and artifact market that host textile producers and suppliers who deal with carvings and other crafts. It is known as the Craft and Textile Market.

Banjo is a cultural groups performance that is perform by Dancers and groups from all over Ghana. Banjo is a monthly activity that take place every last Friday of Every Month. The performance runs for an Hour and Half. Which starts from 2:00pm (GMT)
