History
CeraVe was founded in 2005[6] and was owned by the pharmaceutical company Valeant. In 2017, it was sold and acquired by L'Oréal[10] along with 2 other companies (AcneFree and Ambi) for $1.3 billion.[11][12][13][14]
In 2020, CeraVe was widely promoted by social media influencers/"skinfluencers".[15][16][17][18][19]
