Cero en conducta is a Mexican comedy from Televisa, produced by Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo. Based on the classic sketch "La escuelita" from El Chavo del Ocho and La carabina de Ambrosio.
It stars Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo, Luz Elena González, Martha Ofelia Galindo, David Villalpando and María Alicia Delgado, with the co-star performances of Homero Ferruzca, Gerardo Flores, Alfonso Iglesias Ruaix "Pompin III," Noemí Palafox, Queli, Rubén Cerda, Mariela Roldan, Lorena Álvarez, Carlos Espejel, Erika Blenher, Shamila, Lourdes Deschamps, Sheyla Tadeo,Mike Hernández, Anastasia, Luisa Fernanda, Mariana Ríos, Paty Ardón and Patricia Álvarez, with various guest appearances.
Plot[edit]
The series is set in a school room made up of students who keep telling jokes and disrespecting Maestra Canuta Lombardo Paredes and Director Rigoberto Patiño Pantoja (nicknamed "Birolo"), for which they are constantly hit with a ruler. A year after the show officially ended, the concept was re-featured on Mexican television under the name La Escuelita VIP. The idea of Cero en condcuta was taken from the series Dr. Cándido Pérez that had a similar sketch.
Originally, it was a sketch which appeared regularly on the program Al Ritmo de la Risa titled "La Escuelita." The sketch was so successful that, after the program ended, its creator Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo decided to turn it into a series for the nighttime comedy line-up of Canal de las Estrellas. However, not all of the cast appearing in the sketch continued on to the series (in fact, the original teacher, Maestra Magdalena, played by Rebeca Mankita, was replaced by Maestra Canuta, played by Martha Ofelia Galindo).

Cero en conducta was from 1999 to 2001 the most watched program on Mexican television, reaching ratings of over 30 points.
Despite its great success, the series was not without criticism and controversy for its criticism of the educational and political system that existed at that time. The name of the school "Mártires de Almoloya" made reference to the high security prison located in Almoloya de Juárez. The teacher Canuta Lombarto Paredes was represented by an obese woman, with a ridiculous hairstyle and dressed in folk clothes, which referred to Beatriz Paredes, a PRI politician who attended Congress dressed in such a way.
The program frequently ridiculed current affairs and used stereotypes (for which the characters were often named) of teachers, politicians, Argentinians, the obese, homosexuals, women etc.
David Villalpando returned to the character of "Professor Virolo" as part of the variety program Se Vale, initially broadcast by Canal 4 and from 2010 to 2012 by Canal de las Estrellas, giving a new life to this character and others, such as Don Ramón, Charly the gringo, el Mandrileño and Micro .
After producing the program La casa de la risa, Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo produced the program Par de Ases in 2005 in which he brought together two of the best-known comedians on TV, Alejandro Suárez and Luis de Alba. In 2006, he produced the program ¡Qué madre, tan padre! starring Maribel Guardia and Mauricio Castillo. In 2007, Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo produced and starred in the series Una familia de ten which is an adaptation of the play El casado casa quiero, which was successful despite its short duration. In 2007, he also made a new version of Humor es ... los Comediantes, titled Fábrica de Risas. He appeared in the last episodes of the telenovela Hasta que el dinero nos separe as Rafael Medina Santillán. He was a villain in the telenovela Dos hogares in 2011. This 2013 he premiered the program Durmiendo con mi jefe.
Luz Elena González, who was also part of this project, worked in one of the most successful telenovelas of recent years: Hasta que el dinero nos separe (2009-2010), Una familia con suerte (2011-2012) and Libre para amarte (July-November 2014)
The Clásico TV channel broadcast the program from January 2012 to October 2012, and from October 2012 to the present, it is broadcast on the same channel but with its new name, Distrito Comedia.
