Chad “Aaron” Erhardt (born November 17, 1980) is an American evangelist, author, and former radio host known for his preaching work, extensive publications, and leadership within various Churches of Christ. He is also recognized for hosting the long‑running Louisville call‑in radio program Bible Talk.[1] and for founding the North Point Church of Christ[2] and the North Point Homeschool Academy.[3]
Early Life and Education
Erhardt was born in Lebanon, Kentucky, to Douglas and Mary Kay Erhardt. He is the eldest of three children. His family later moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where he was raised alongside his brother and sister. Erhardt graduated from Valley High School in 1999.
He was baptized into Christ as a teenager and soon expressed a desire to preach. After attending Florida College[4], a Bible school affiliated with Churches of Christ, he began his first full‑time ministry at age nineteen.
Personal Life
Erhardt met his wife, Jill, at age sixteen. The two became high school sweethearts and married in 2001, shortly after Jill’s graduation. They have six children—Skylar, Luke, Seth, Natalia, Sari, and Thad. Jill homeschools their children and teaches Bible classes. The family is active in sports, particularly basketball, and Erhardt frequently coaches youth teams.
Erhardt has twice been elected as a school board representative in Spencer County, Kentucky.
Ministry Work
Since beginning his ministry, Erhardt has worked with congregations in Louisville, Lexington, and Taylorsville, Kentucky, and is currently preaching in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. In 2015 he founded the North Point Church of Christ[5] and later the North Point Homeschool Academy[6], serving as Academy Director for two years and coaching the boys’ basketball team[7].
Radio Career
Erhardt hosted Bible Talk which broadcast on WXLN-AM[8], a daily call‑in radio program in Louisville, Kentucky, for ten years. The show aired five days a week and gained significant local attention, being featured twice in The Courier‑Journal, Louisville’s major newspaper, in articles titled “Evangelist Sends the Word Over the Airways”[9] and “Evangelist Spearheading Growth”[10].
