Chairman Spaceman is an upcoming American science fiction film written and directed by Andrew Stanton and produced by Simon Kinberg. Loosely based on Thomas Pierce's short story of the same name, the film will be released by Fox Searchlight and Genre Films.

In May 2020, it was announced that Andrew Stanton was in early talks to direct and write Chairman Spaceman for Fox Searchlight and Simon Kinberg's production label, Genre Films. The film is based on The New Yorker short story of the same name by Thomas Pierce. The film will mark Stanton's third venture into the Science-Fiction genre, following WALL-E and John Carter.[1]
