Chakrascension
Chakrascension™[1] is complementary therapy which comes under the category of energy therapy. Like other forms of energy therapy, it is based on the pseudo-scientific belief that practitioners can channel healing energy through their palms into a patient to encourage healing on a physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level. Chakrascension™ works specifically on the Chakra system, which is a series of energy centres located along the spinal column and continuing up into the head. Chakrascension™ is unique in the field of energy therapy in that it claims that the source of the energy used during treatments is from a group of enlightened beings called the Ascended Masters. During a treatment the client’s individual Chakras are each linked to a specific Ascended Master. This is achieved by use of a series of symbols which act as portals between the Chakras and the Ascended Masters. The energies of these Ascended Masters can work to activate and balance the Chakra system resulting in a sense of well-being in the client. At present the system consists of 13 symbols and works with 14 Ascended Masters.
The Ascended Masters
In teaching the system Alan and Robert acknowledge the many visionaries who have introduced Ascended Master teachings to the world including Madame Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, Guy Ballard, Mark L. Prophet. The names of the Ascended Masters they use in their work are the traditional ones introduced by these spiritual leaders. They also endorse the fundamental principle of the Ascended Master movement that Humanity’s evolution on Earth is part of the overall Cosmic evolution of the Universe. During the Birth of each Universal cycle individual focal points of consciousness or MONADS are created. These sparks of Divinity devolve down into dense matter and then begin the journey back towards union with God and during this process evolve in consciousness and wisdom. They achieve this by progressing through stages of awareness and consciousness starting with the Mineral Kingdom, the Plant Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom and finally the Human kingdom. Humans then continue their spiritual progress by re-incarnating through many lifetimes in order to release attachments to physical and emotional desires. Finally, a human reaches a stage where they can exist without physical form but still retain a sense of self. They then choose to continue their journey towards union with God or decide to assist humankind. The Ascended Masters is the name given to this spiritual hierarchy which is working with mankind to assist them in their spiritual growth.
Although they present the Ascended Masters in pictorial form, images that Robert Nutt created after meditating upon the Ascended Maters, they do not wish these images to be perceived as literal representations of the Ascended Masters. They created the pictures because they feel that humans find it easier to connect to concrete images even though the Masters themselves are fields of energy and consciousness and do not have physical forms or human personalities. In their teaching they only share their personal experiences of the Ascended Masters and the energies the Chakrascension™ system brings through.
History of the System
The Beginning
The system has been developed by Alan Harris and Robert Nutt. Both were introduced to energy therapy when they began training in Usui Reiki in 1995. They were subsequently introduced to the concept of the Ascended Masters by their Reiki Master, Valerie Reading, and attended meditation workshops run by Valerie which strengthened their connection to the energy of the Ascended Masters.
In March 1997, whilst being initiated in Karuna Reiki at Master level, Alan Harris was aware of a symbol being placed in his third eye. Upon working with this symbol, he found that when he placed the symbol in his hands, he could transmit energy. This was corroborated by his Reiki Master Valerie. He was then guided to meditate regularly and during the next few months brought through eight further symbols, making nine in total. He also had the insight that seven of the symbols were directly linked to the Chakra system, each symbol being associated with a specific Chakra. Two of the symbols did not fit into that scenario but he felt that more revelations were to follow. After the insight that the symbols were attached to the Chakras, Robert Nutt was granted the insight that the symbols were also linked to specific Ascended Masters and facilitated the transmitting of energy from these Ascended Masters into the corresponding Chakras. They then began to treat each other and various volunteers and found that during the treatments, recipients shared common experiences of seeing colours and feeling a range of sensations such as warmth, tingling, waves of energy etc. After a treatment, recipients reported that they had a general sense of well - being, felt uplifted and less stressed. Initially they thought that the system was another form of Reiki, named it Ascension Reiki [2]and patented it under that name in the UK. They were contacted by other people who claimed that there was already a system called Ascension Reiki even though it had not been patented. Eventually they felt that it was not Reiki in any new format and was a unique system which enabled practitioners to access the energies of the Ascended Masters.
The Finalised System
Both Alan and Robert had demanding careers which effectively resulted in them having a hiatus in the development of the system.
In 2012 Alan took early retirement and had more time to focus on the system. Robert had the insight that the system should be called Chakrascension™ and patented the name. Upon further meditation more symbols came through to Alan which were linked to the extended Chakra system; one sub-personal Chakra, located below the feet, and three transpersonal Chakras located above the crown. The extra two symbols which came through with the original seven, represented male and female energies and brought through stepped down the Ascended Master energy in a balanced and controlled way.
During this period of finalising the system using the symbols, images of how the Ascended Masters wished to be represented came through to Alan. Robert then created pictures of the Masters using computer graphics and the ideas shared by Alan. There are now fourteen portraits of the Ascended Masters used in the teaching.
The next step was to structure the system into different levels so that there could be a logical progression in the training. Alan was guided to construct the system so that initial use of the energies should focus on oneself in order to bring oneself into balance before treating others. Furthermore, the Ascended Masters wished practitioners to have the option to be able to train other people before they reach Master Level. This enables practitioners to gain confidence early on in their ability to train others and it also facilitates the faster spread of the system.
The Levels
Level 1: Practitioners learn the first seven symbols of the system and are activated to their energies. This enables them to treat themselves to allow them to correct imbalances in their energy system.
Level 2: Practitioners learn and are activated to the energies of two further symbols. These symbols enable the practitioners to treat other people. Practitioners also learn how to use the symbols to activate and train clients to Chakrascension™ level 1.
Level 3: Practitioners learn and are activated to the energies of two further symbols which enable them to give a treatment distantly in real time and to train and activate clients at Chakrascension™ level 2 (training can also be given distantly).
Level Four: Practitioners learn and are activated to the energies of two final symbols. This will enable practitioners to train and activate clients to Chakrascension™ Levels three and four. It also enables practitioners to deepen their connection with the Ascended Masters, connect to Earth Chakras, send energy forward and backwards in time, manifest goals and connect to their multi-dimensional self.
Further Developments
In June 2016 Robert was guided by the Ascended Masters to create a deck of Oracle cards using the symbols and the images of the Ascended Masters. Simultaneously Alan created a book to work alongside the deck which helped interpret the meanings of the individual cards. These cards can then be used for guidance for oneself or used by professional readers for their clients. The last image in the current deck was created on 21st June 2017 by Robert whilst working in Rhode Island, US. The completed Chakrascension™ Master Deck [3]was first printed in March 2018
In October 2018 Chakrascension™ Levels 1 and 2 were included by the Federation of Holistic Therapists[4] as short courses. In November 2018 Chakrascension™ was included as a therapy by Balens Ltd.[5]
