Chandler Foods is a family-owned and operated food manufacturer based in Greensboro, North Carolina.[1] The company specializes in barbecue products (including Pork, Beef, and Chicken), as well as Kettle products such as Hot Dog Chili.
History
John E. Chandler, Jr. and his wife Edith W. Chandler started Chandler Foods, Inc. on December 17, 1955. The business began as a restaurant, but demand quickly increased and the company became a strictly wholesale operation.[2]
On February 1, 1968, Chandler Foods was assigned the plant identification numbers 2615 and P2615 from the United States Department of Agriculture, which allowed their products to be sold nationwide.[3]
