Chandler Smith (born June 26, 2002) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes part-time in the ARCA Racing Series, driving the Nos. 15 and 20 Toyota Camrys for Venturini Motorsports.
Racing career[edit]
Early Career[edit]
Chandler started out racing in Go-Kart’s when he was 5 years old, he moved up a couple months later to Quarter Midget cars. Smith moved to Bandolero cars in 2012 when he was 9 years old racing them up until the age of 12. In 2015 when he was 12 he made the huge leep from Bandolero cars to asphalt super Late Model cars, he drove Late Model’s full time in the Pro All Star Series Late Model Tour (PASS) up until the age of 15 when he signed a contract to Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series to drive the Nos. 15 and 20 Toyota Camry.
Smith still drives select Late Model races as shown in 2018 when he won the 2018 SpeedFest200 and was barely edged out for the 2018 Winchester 400.
ARCA Racing Series[edit]
Chandler Smith made his ARCA debut at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway with Venturini Motorsports in the No. 20 winning the pole and going on to get a fifth place finish. The next two races he ran were at Salem Speedway and Toldeo Speedway in which he won the pole in both races and led the most laps in both races where he went onto finish 10th and 4th place respectively. Chandler Smith earned his first career ARCA win at Madison Speedway after starting on the pole and leading 102 out of the 200 laps ran.
Smith ran five more races that season ending the season with two wins, four poles, six top fives, and nine top tens.
