Box office hit films are Suren Suror Putek, Junda Eman Gunda. Maghot Mamonir Biya,Ujonir Dujoni Gabhoru and Bakor Putek.

“Suren Suror Putek” was showed at Assamese mobile theatre too.

Singers and Actor[edit]

Roopa Ganguli, who is best known for her role in B R Chopra’s hit television series of Mahabharata played the main role in his movie “RONANGINI”.

Song “Achinaki Bandhu” from the movie “AGNIGARH” was sung by Dada Saheb Phalke award winner Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.

Zubeen Garg has sung in many of his movies.

Education and Career[edit]

Mudoi studied at Government school of Puranigudam and matriculated from there. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Assam Engineering college, Guwahati.

He worked at and retired as executive engineer in Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB)

Though engineering is his profession, he is famous as film director, script writer & screenplay and lyricist.

Early Life[edit]

Mudoi who is famous as a film director, was born on 28th February’1956 at Puranigudam a small town on the bank of river Brahmaputra.

He discovered his writing skill when his first article “PRASANGIK AAPRASANGIK” was published in the yearly magazine of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati.

He was first introduced to the drama world by his friends and asked to play a role in a drama based on epic Mahabharata.

Immediately after this role he wrote a drama named “JATAYU”. This drama was played in different stage drama competitions and received BEST DRAMA AWARD across Assam.
