Charbel Haber (born 1 June 1978) is a Lebanese musician, singer, songwriter and performer. He is best known as a member of the Lebanese bands Scrambled Eggs and The Bunny Tylers, as well as for his solo albums and film scores.
Career
Haber started his music career as co-founder of the influential underground Lebanese post-rock group Scrambled Eggs in 1998[1][2].
Haber has been an active contributor to Lebanese free improvisation festival Irtijal since 2002, and core member of MILL (Musique Improvisée Libre au Liban) association since 2002[3].
He founded the experimental music record label Those Kids Must Choke in 2004. The label has released 6 albums. He also co-founded (with Al Maslakh) the experimental record label Johnny Kafta’s Kids Menu in 2010[4][5].
Member of Lebanese free improvisation large ensemble, Moukhtabar Ensemble (2005-2007). Member and co-founder of free improvisation groups BAO, XEFM, The Johnny Kafta Anti-Vegetarian Orchestra and psychedelic Arabic music ensembles Malayeen and Orchestra Omar[6].
Haber has collaborated with musicians and artists such as Gene Coleman, Justice Yeldham & The Dynamic Ribbon Machine, Jean Pallandre, Laurent Grappe, Tadahiko Yokogawa, Stéphane Rives, Radivision, Rohdri Davies, Jean Francois Pauvros, The Ex[7].
With Scrambled Eggs, he composed the soundtracks for feature films *A Perfect Day* and *Je Veux Voir* by Lebanese directors Khalil Joreige & Joana Hadjithomas. They have also contributed incidental music to Lebanese director Ghassan Salhab’s feature *The Last Man*. He has also written the music for *Stable Unstable* and *Ladder to Damascus*[8].
Has released two albums under The Bunny Tylers, a collaboration with Fadi Tabbal of The Incompetents and Tunefork Studios[9].
