Charge Enterprises, Inc. (formerly Transworld Holdings, Inc., GoIP Global, Inc., E-Education Network, Inc.[1]) is an American company with a large portfolio of electric vehicle and telecommunications infrastructure companies based in Midtown Manhattan, New York.

Charge Enterprises currently operates its telecommunications services in 19 different countries internationally. Charge Enterprises also provides engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations.

History

Charge Enterprises was founded in May 2003 under the name E-Education Network in Nevada. In August 2005, E-Education Network changed its name to GoIP Global, Inc. and relocated from Nevada to Colorado. [1]

In April 2020, GoIP Global purchased all outstanding equity interest from Transworld Enterprises, and, a month later, GoIP Global acquired all outstanding shares of Transworld Enterprises. In October 2020, GoIP Global changed its name to Transworld Holdings, Inc. in conjunction with their acquisition of Transworld Enterprises and moved from Colorado to Delaware. [2]

In October 2020, Transworld Holdings acquired electric-vehicle infrastructure company GetCharged, Inc.. Following the acquisition of GetCharged, former-CEO of GetCharged, Andrew Fox, was appointed chief executive officer and director of Transworld Holdings. As of 2022, Andrew Fox has remained CEO. Shortly following the acquisition of GetCharged Inc., Transworld Holdings acquired telecommunications infrastructure company PTGi. [3]

In January 2021, Transworld Holdings, Inc. changed its name to its current name, Charge Enterprises, Inc.. [4]

In May 2021, Transworld Holdings wholly owned-subsidiary Charge Infrastructure Holdings acquired Nextridge Inc., the holdings company of telecommunications infrastructure company ANS Advanced Network Services. [5]

In December 2021, Charge Infrastructure Holdings acquired telecommunications infrastructure company BW Electrical Services. [6]

In January 2022, Charge Infrastructure Holdings acquired EV Group Holdings, the holdings company of electric-vehicle infrastructure company EVDepot. [7]

On April 12, 2022, Charge Industries went public on the NASDAQ Global Market, uplisting from over-the-counter trading on OTC Pink. [8]
