Charles de La Rochefoucauld is the founder, President and joint-owner of European communications agency ComCorp

He established the Reputation Index [1], a tool for measuring corporate reputation.

He is a member of one of the oldest families in France, La Rochefoucauld, and runs an agricultural estate near Bourges, in central France.

Education[edit]

La Rochefoucauld graduated from the Ecole des Arts et Métiers in Vevey, Switzerland.

Career[edit]

Returning to Paris, he founded communications agency named La Rochefoucauld in 1987. He co-founded Dialogue with B2B agency Anderson & Lembke UK, planning an international network of independent agencies.

In 2000, La Rochefoucauld joined the Publicis Group.[2]

La Rochefoucauld joined the Wellcom communications agency in 2010 as Associate Director.[3]

In 2013, La Rochefoucauld founded ComCorp, and acquired 3D Communications with the aim of creating “a new type of agency entirely focused around brand and business reputation”.[4]

In 2014, La Rochefoucauld launched the Reputation Index, a tool for measuring the components of reputation for companies, brands or personalities. The Index consolidates elements such as media exposure, brand awareness and web influence as well as gauging public opinion to establish reputational strength.

“The reputation of the company is the ground from which the company develops. The view is created by the knowledge of the company, through experts, journalists, bloggers, networks... and it is necessary to measure the positive and negative opinions that a survey does not.”[1]

Family and interests[edit]

Married to wife Brigitte, with whom he has one son.

Interests include history, nature preservation and gardens. He owns and manages a farming-agricultural estate south of Bourges in central France, employing organic and conventional approaches to polyculture and livestock operations.

Ancestry[edit]

Charles was born into one of the oldest and most renowned aristocratic families, La Rochefoucauld, a title first recorded in 1019.

He is one of five children to Roger de La Rochefoucauld and Princess Isabelle de Bourbon de Parme.

Through the La Rochefoucauld line, he is the descendant of François VI, Duc de La Rochefoucauld, Prince de Marcillac (1613 – 1680), who was a distinguished French author. His literary work is composed of three parts: his Memoirs, the Maxims, and his letters. He was considered an exemplar of the accomplished 17th-century nobleman.
