Charlie George (comedian)
Charlie George is a British stand-up comedian and writer, originally from Swindon. A former circus performer and dancer, George started doing stand-up in 2018. She has performed stand-up on BBC Asian Network Live and the BBC's No Country for Young Women Podcast. George also co-hosts a regular stand-up night, Crack-Up Comedy Cabaret,[1] which raises funds for Hackney mental health charity Core Arts.[2]

George was chosen to feature in Charlie Brooker's writers room for Cunk & Other Humans 2019, AntiViral Wipe 2020 (Lockdown special) and Death to 2020[6] for Netflix. She has written for the C4 Election night special, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Hypothetical, Newsjack, The Now Show and Frankie Boyle's New World Order.[7]
She was recently selected out of 3,700 writers for the Penguin Write Now editorial programme to write her first autofiction book ‘Door to Door.’
Personal life[edit]
At an interview after winning the LGBTQ New Comedian of the Year Award, Charlie George referred to her sexuality as "queer/bi-sexual/pansexual".[8]
