Charmin Lee
Charmin Lee is an American actress and director. Lee was born in Denver, Colorado.[1] She appeared in more than 90 films and television series since 1980s. She guest-starred on In the Heat of the Night, Sister, Sister, Drop Dead Diva, The Vampire Diaries, Being Mary Jane, Saints & Sinners, Sleepy Hollow, Dynasty, Homeland, and Westworld.[2] She had a recurring role as Jeanette Wood, Maya's Mother, on the series Girlfriends. She also had recurring role as Det. Cheryl Banks in the CBS series Diagnosis Murder from 1999 to 2001, and later appeared on Family Law, Outcast, The Quad, Doom Patrol and Bigger.[3] From 2015 to 2019 she played the recurring role of Georgia Darby in the CBS drama series, The Inspectors.
Lee appeared in films such as The 5th Wave (2016), Come Sunday (2018), Honey: Rise Up and Dance (2018), What Men Want (2019), Just Mercy (2019) and Palmer (2021). She also starred in BET Her film Everything is Fine (2020) directed by Victoria Rowell.[4]
In 2023, Lee directed the drama film God's Grace: The Sheila Johnson Story for BET+.[5][6][7]
