Chavosh Homavandi (Persian: چاوش هماوندی‎), born 10 September 1986 in Tehran is an Iranian photographer who specializes in photojournalism. His photos have been published in various renowned media like Time (magazine).[1], CNN[2], Newsweek[3], Getty Images[4]

Early life[edit]

Chavosh Homavandi is a professional photographer working as a freelance documentary photographer and a photojournalist since 2005 until now. His portfolio contains collection of photos ranging from sports to military parades such that it consolidates his position among the most photographers in Iran.[5][6] Chavosh Homavandi has been working as a documentary and freelance photographer delving into the context of events and trying to provide a visual interpretation of events. He holds a portfolio of many important events such as; 2018 FIFA World Cup, 2017 Iranian presidential election, 2013 Iranian presidential election, 2009 Iranian presidential election, 2020 Iranian legislative election, Military exercise, Nuclear program of Iran, 2017 Tehran attacks.

Honors and awards[edit]

Chavosh Homavandi was selected as the winner of the Iranian Natural Attractions Photo Festival and his photo was published as the cover of the exquisite book Facies.[7] Also, Homavandi's photo won as one of the selected photos of Getty Reportage Photo of the Week in the world.[8] His photos have been published in «Reuters' Best Picture of 2007 book» (our world now)[9] and «Geoscience for the public good and global development» book.[10]
