Early Life[edit]
Chea Sophea (Khmer name ជា សុភា) was born 29.Feb.1992 in Cheung Phnom village, Thamma Or commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province. Today, he is also a singer and songwriter for SHARE Media, which is gaining popularity and support from his young friends, who now have more than 50 of his own songs.
Career[edit]
Chea Sophea has seven siblings. He has loved art since he was a child. Chea Sophea has a father who is a traditional musician. When there are exam programs in the village, he always applies for exams without interruption, but is not very successful due to lack of experience. At the age of 18, before entering the art world, he worked as a painter in a pagoda. Due to his natural good voice and the encouragement of family and friends around him, he decided to apply for the exam in the big programs of various local TV stations, but still did not succeed, only passed the qualifying round. It was not until 2016 that Mr. Chea Sophea decided to work with one of his composers, Virak Ponlok, to create his own original song. The songs that have received support and are known to him to this day are songs that can mourn, Arch Roum Tuk Madech Min Ach Roum Sok, Veal Ors Nisai and many other educational romantic songs.
Personal Life[edit]
In 2014, Mr. Chea Sophea entered a contest in a big program of Hang Meas TV The Voice Cambodia, but did not get the results. Until 2015, he re-applied for the contest on Cambodian Idol and got only the qualifying results.
