Cheating incident between Andy Hui and Jacqueline Wong
Cheating incident between Andy Hui and Jacqueline Wong, known in Chinese as Peace of Mind Stealing Food (Cantonese: 安心偷食)[1] is an incident that a married Hong Kong singer Andy Hui Chi-on and an engaged TVB artiste Jacqueline Wong Sum-wing were caught red handed cheating in the back of a taxi in April 2019.
Characters[edit]
Andy Hui[edit]
Andy Hui is a veteran singer who was once named as one of the second generation Heavenly Kings along with Hacken Lee, Leo Ku and Edmond Leung since 1980's to 1990's.
Jacqueline Wong[edit]
Jacqueline Wong was the first runner-up of Miss Hong Kong 2012 and then signed as a TVB artiste. She has been acting in supporting roles in TVB dramas.
Sammi Cheng[edit]
Sammi Cheng Sau-man is a Hong Kong pop-singer and one of the most popular Hong Kong artistes in Asia. She is the wife of Andy Hui. Cheng fell in love with Andy Hui but has been on and off in a relationship with Hui since 1991. Cheng officially broke up with Hui in 2004 and she was also reported to have suffered from serious weight loss and depression. However, Cheng and Hui got back together after seven years and got engaged in 2013. Their relationship was described as "the ultimate fairy tale in Hong Kong" by Hong Kong actor Dayo Wong Tsz-wah.

Incident[edit]
The 16-minute video was provided by a taxi driver and released by Apple Daily. On the night of 3 April 2019, Hui and Wong were both invited to their mutual friend's birthday party. They three took a taxi and had carpooling together when they left. After their friend got off the taxi, Hui and Wong kept kissing and touching each other during the remaining taxi journey. Wong even caressed Hui's thigh throughout the kiss. In the end, Hui and Wong got off the taxi and Hui followed Wong to go back her home in Lei Yue Mun.[3][4]
Influence[edit]
It is known that the taxi driver sold the video involving the incident to Apple Daily. This raised concern about privacy inside private cars. Former chief executive Leung Chun-ying criticized Apple Daily that it was openly offering money for photos and videos and was a bad practice of media. Some Hongkongers are calling on the authorities to regulate the use of digital cameras in taxis. The video should be encrypted and accessed only by the authorities to settle disputes between the driver and passengers.[5][6]
