The Cheese Society

Background
The Cheese Society is a BBC TV series that revolves around a series of cheese manufacturers and their histories. Each episode focuses on a different local cheese, the first focusing on the iconic Cheddar. The show is also based on the BBC Food magazine of the same name. Many different celebrity food personalities have featured on the show. The show was first broadcast on BBC Four from the 30th of June 2009 to the 4th of August 2009. It has also been broadcast on the Good Food channel. The series received mixed reviews and had only one series commissioned.
