Cheharta railway station

Cheharta is located about 30 kms far from the India-Pakistan Border. It is famous for its Vasant Panchami.

Cheharta Railway Station is the first railway station from Amritsar Junction railway station to Attari railway station, in the Indian state of Punjab. It is 7-8 kms far away from Amritsar. It is located 30 kms near the Indo-Pak Border.

It is famous for its historical Gurudwara, and is the main station for import and export with Pakistan.

It has 2 platforms. One is for passengers and other one is for freight train. Government has planned to construct 2 washing lines in this railway station.

Everyday 4 trains passes from this railway station to Attari Railway Station. All of these trains are DMU. There is also weekly express train which passes from here that is Jabalpur-Attari Express which starts its journey from Jabalpur Junction railway station in Madhya Pradesh and ends at Attari railway station in Punjab situated on India-Pakistan Border
