Cheick Aboubacar Camara (born 16 April 1998)[1] is a Guinean sprinter. In 2019, he competed in the men's 100 metres event at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.[2]
Career
In 2014, he competed in the boys' 100 metres event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics held in Nanjing, China.[3]
In 2019, he also represented Guinea at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco.[4] He competed in the men's 200 metres event, and he did not qualify to compete in the semi-finals.[4]
At the 2019 World Athletics Championships, Camara competed in the preliminary round 100 metres. He ran a personal best of 11.38 seconds but did not advance to compete in the heats.[2] He was called "the fastest glasses wearer in the world" by BBC Online in their coverage of the event.[5]
