Chestnut Hill Square is an open-air shopping center located on Route 9 in the Newton, Massachusetts portion of Chestnut Hill. It contains 495,296 sq. feet of shops and dining options, and is one of the four main shopping centers in the Chestnut Hill area.[2]
History[edit]
In 2010, New England Development purchased the plot of land on which Chestnut Hill Square currently sits and began work on the project. On December 6, they applied for a permit from the city of Newton.[3] On November 7, 2013, Chestnut Hill Square was officially completed and opened to the public.[4] In 2014, Wegmans opened their second Massachusetts location in Chestnut Hill Square.[5]
