Chetan Kumar
Chetan Kumar is an Indian pharmaceutical scientist and researcher. Since July 2023, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical & Population Health Informatics.[1][2][3][4]
Early life and education
Kumar completed his Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kumaun University, Nainital Uttarakhand, in 2013.[5][6]
He was awarded his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, in 2023.[7][8]
Career and research
In 2014, Kumar joined CSIR-IIIM Jammu as a research fellow. He received the CSIR-Direct Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in 2019.[9]
His research primary focuses on natural product chemistry, specifically in the extraction, isolation, characterization, and structural modification of bioactive compounds for drug discovery. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed research articles, book chapters, and review papers in the field.[10][11]
