The Chhim Chhima Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Vijaypur town of Sheopur district in Madhya Pradesh, India.
History
The Temple is ancient, about 400 years old. It is said that in the 17th century, when Aurangzeb launched a campaign to destroy Hindu temples across India, the Mughal army also came here and attacked to demolish this temple but, by the grace of Hanuman Ji, the land around the temple became wax. Due to which Aurangzeb's army could not proceed and they had to return empty-handed.
The Temple
The temple is blessed with a miraculous spring whose water does not dry up even in the warmest of summer. In the month of Bhado (August-September), a one-day Mega Fair is held which attracts thousands of devotees from nearby districts.
Redevelopment Of Temple Yard
Shree Chhimchhima Mandir Committee has decided to redevelop the temple courtyard and this work will start soon.
