Chi Rho Omicron (XPO), is a Filipino-based fraternity.
Known by many as "XPO", Chi Rho Omicron was founded on February 16, 1995, on the campus of California State University, Fresno. XPO is the largest Filipino-based fraternity in the United States, with 10 established chapters across the state of California.
History
The fraternity was created by seven individuals (Founding Fathers) in February of 1995 at California State University, Fresno. There was a void of many organizations for Filipino Americans on campus, thus the creation of this group.
Soon after its creation and official recognition by the university, XPO expanded with a new chapter at San Francisco State University. With a significantly higher population of Filipino Americans versus Fresno, the Beta Chapter was able to grow even faster.
Eventually, more and more colonies became official chapters through California. Currently, over 700 men have joined the fraternity over the years.
While Chi Rho Omicron is a Pilipino-based Fraternity, the brotherhood welcomes all gentlemen from every different culture.
Numbers
Although brothers are from various universities, each is given his own number that he, along, owns. Starting with the Founding Fathers being #1 - #7, the newest brothers have #700+ and so on. This allows ties everyone together, regardless of which chapter they originate.
