The Chicago Journal is a general interest, digital publication focused on the political and cultural issues of the city of Chicago and the surrounding Chicago metropolitan area.[1] The Chicago Journal website is owned by Challenge Media, LLC.[2]

The Chicago Journal divides its content into six subjects: Arts, Business, Lifestyle, Politics, Science & Technology, and Sports. Currently, almost every piece of content has a direct connection to issues affecting and/or relevant to residents of the Chicago region. The site also publishes newsletters from Chicago Journal writers and artists, as well as podcasts, videos, slide shows, interactive graphics, and contests which can be accessed without a subscription.
