Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, a trans-national industrialist, philanthropist and vibrant politician hails from Amaonwu Village in Bende LGA of Abia State. Born on the 15th August, 1961, Dr. Kalu attended his elementary school in his locality before proceeding to Methodist College, Uzuakoli in Umuahia for his Secondary education career. He gained admission into Phoenix University, USA where he studied Electrical Engineering and graduated with flying colours. He has meritoriously bagged many certificates, accolades and awards which had earned him prominence in the society. Engr. Kalu is currently the CEO, Stercoll Energy Services Limited headquartered in Arizona, USA with conglomerates of subsidiaries and Annexes in Europe & Asia. A Chieftain of People' s Democratic Party, PDP serving as the National Coordinator, PDP Coalition from 2019 till date. Kalu is happily married with children.[1][2]
Political Career[edit]
In 2015, the Bende born political ideologist aspired and vied for the number one seat in the government of Abia State under All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, where he intended to have used his wealth of experience to industrialize the State had he been voted into office.[3] In 2019, he was the hardcore mobilizer and prime mover who single-handedly worked in conjunction with his teeming supporters to popularize Atiku Abubakar/Peter Obi PDP Presidential race through a platform called "ATIKULATED AGENDA" geared towards winning election for the party.[4] He is a robust defender, financier and Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party with good antecedents of working to ensure the Party succeeds in 2023 general elections and therefore salvages and revitalizes Nigeria.[5] Chief Kalu is also the Director General, Global Initiatives For Good Governance (GIGG).[6][7]
Industrial Career[edit]
Being an experienced industrialist with good stake in oil/gas services, shipping, offshore rigging, platform assemblage, construction, electronic fittings, consultancy and general merchandise, Dr. Kalu is always prepared with good innovative and leadership examples to contribute his quotas for the overall transformation of Nigeria economy and that of the world at large. His drive for helping humanity has been in operations and till date empowering the people through his Stercoll Foundation, a philanthropic organization under the watch of his corporate entity that has been providing education, health related and other humanitarian services and assistance both in Nigeria and overseas.[8][9][10]
