Chief Scouts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines
In the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the positions of President (the corporate head of the organization) and Chief Scout (the inspirational example and focus of youth emulation) were formerly assigned to a single person. In 1974 the two positions were separated by decree of the President of the Philippines.
The Chief Scout is different from the chief executive, who was originally called the "Chief Scout Executive" but now designated as the "Secretary General." Hence, the top three positions are now the Chief Scout (a statutory position), the National President (a volunteer), and the Secretary General (a professional).
