Chiltern Badminton Club
Chiltern Badminton Club is a sporting club devoted solely to badminton, providing players in the Reading, Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas with an opportunity to display their skills in the Reading Badminton League where it has nine teams entered.
History[edit]
The club was established over 20 years ago as of February 2009.
It originally started out as Chiltern Edge Badminton Club and was situated on the courts at Chiltern Edge School.
It eventually left this venue in 2005, becoming simply Chiltern Badminton Club.
Members[edit]
It has more than fifty members and is always looking to expand its number of ladies', men's and mixed teams.
Nine teams currently take part in the Reading Badminton Association 4 Mixed, 3 Men's and 2 Ladies' teams usually in the upper divisions.
Venues[edit]
Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School provides two courts for Monday matches 19:30-22:00.
Kendrick School provides four courts for club play on a Wednesday 20:00-22:30.
Bluecoat School provides two courts for club play and two courts for matches on a Thursday 19:30-22:00.
