Chris Bouchard is an English film producer, director and screenwriter who is best known for his fan film The Hunt for Gollum[3][4]. The 38-minute film fills in the story between two scenes in The Lord of the Rings film, when the original plot leaps forward in time. The Hunt for Gollum was released in 2009 having been crowd-funded for a budget of £3,000[5]. In May 2019 it had the fourth highest monthly viewing figures of any US release[6] and has gone on to be viewed more than 15 million times[7]
