Chris Roe is a professor of psychology at the University of Northampton.[1] He is the research Leader for the Psychology Division and Director of the Center for the Study of Anomalous Psychological Processes. Currently, he is the President of the Parapsychological Association,[2] serves as the Chairman of the British Psychological Society for the Transpersonal Psychology Section,[3] a Council Member of the Society for Psychical Research[4] and an International Affiliate for England of the Parapsychology Foundation.

He edits the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research. His research includes understanding the nature of anomalous experiences and the phenomenology of paranormal experience, particularly as it effects well being. He also researches on the psychology of paranormal belief and of deception, as well as experimental approaches to test claims for extrasensory perception and psychokinesis, particularly where it involves psychological factors. His recent research has been concerned with unconscious measures of psi and predicting performance using a composite personality measure called 'lability'.

He has published over 80 journal papers and book chapters[2] and given over 100 invited and conference presentations. In 2015 he was appointed Perrott-Warrick Senior Researcher by the Managers of the Perrott-Warrick Fund, administered by Trinity College, Cambridge.
