Chris Yeh

Chris Yeh is an American author, entrepreneur, and investor based in Palo Alto, California.[1]

He is currently the co-founder of the venture capital firms Blitzscaling Ventures and Wasabi Ventures, and the educational firm Global Scaling Academy.

Chris Yeh was born and grew up in Santa Monica, and attended the Mirman School and Santa Monica High School, where he graduated at the age of 15 and was named valedictorian of his class. He earned two degrees from Stanford University, in Product Design Engineering and Creative Writing. After working at D. E. Shaw & Co. on the Juno Online Services and FarSight Financial Services projects, he earned his MBA at Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.[2]

In 2019, he appeared on the Fox Network game show Mental Samurai (S1E7), where he won $100,000 and earned the title, “Mental Samurai.”[3] Since 2000, he has lived and worked in Silicon Valley in the startup industry.

He was an early angel investor in companies like Ustream (where he also served as interim CEO), PBworks, and Wanderu.[4]

Yeh is the co-author of two books, Blitzscaling, published in 2018, and the New York Times bestseller The Alliance, published in 2014. He has also written for the Harvard Business Review, TechCrunch, and Fast Company.[5]

Yeh is also a keynote speaker at many events and conferences, both in-person and virtual, for companies like McKinsey and HubSpot.

The Alliance

The Alliance: Managing Talent in the Networked Age is Yeh’s first book. It is co-authored with Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha, and was released in the United States on July 8, 2014.[6]

Blitzscaling

Blitzscaling: The Lightning-Fast Path to Building Massively Valuable Companies is Yeh’s second book. It is co-authored with Reid Hoffman, and was released in the United States on October 9, 2018.[7]
