Chris Young (born 2004) is a professional boxer.

Career

Young was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Young has currently lives and trains on the Florida panhandle near the state border with Alabama. Young had an extensive amateur boxing background. Chris Young turned professional in the sport of boxing at the age of twenty in 2024. He has won his first five matches. He KO’d Anson Swindle on October 24, 2024, at Pensacola Bay Theater in Pensacola, Florida. He then defeated Anthony Curtiss by DQ at Yakema Legends Casino in Toppenish on December 12, 2024. Curtiss was knocked down in the first round. Young TKO’d Ulises Carvajal on June 14, 2025. On March 26, 2026 he defeated Leonidas Fowlkes in Mobile Alabama. As of May 2026 he has a professional boxing record of 5 wins, 0 losses with 4 knockouts.

Legendary former professional boxing world champion Roy Jones Jr. is Young’s head trainer. His father, Jason Young, has also handled training responsibilities. Young stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and boxes in the lightweight division. He is nicknamed “The Hybrid”. That nickname was given to him personally by Roy Jones Jr., as he believes Young is like a mixture of Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.
