Christian Asplund
Christian Asplund is a Canadian-American musician, composer, author, and professor of music. He has been the co-founder of several musical ventures including the Seattle Experimental Opera (Seattle, WA), the Avant GaRawge and Avant Vespers (Provo, UT), and his compositional works are published by Frog Peak Music (Lebanon, NH). His biography of American composer Christian Wolff, co-authored with Michael Hicks, was described as "beautifully written" [1] as well as "insightful and alert." [2] He has recorded and released over a dozen albums, including work with the Seattle Experimental Opera, his avant-garde jazz ensemble FunCoffin, solo projects, and various collaborations.
