Christian Celeste Tate is an American politician. A member of, and endorsed by New York City Democratic Socialists of America, he is running to represent the Democratic Party in the race for the 54th district of the New York Assembly which comprises the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bushwick, Cypress Hills, East New York, Ocean Hill, and Brownsville.[1]
Early life, education, and early career
Tate graduated from Bowdoin College.[2] He has worked extensively as a community organizer and in the non-profit sector, for organizations like The Bridgespan Group, Womankind, Day One, and Brooklyn's Community Board 4.[3][4][5] Tate also campaigned for fellow Democratic Socialist and mayor-elect of New York City, Zohran Mamdani.[6]
Endorsements and affiliations
Tate has been endorsed by New York City Democratic Socialists of America and New York Communities for Change.[7]
