Christian Ventura is the author of The Emergency Medical Responder: Training and Succeeding as an EMT/EMR published by Springer Nature[1] and Host of Evidence Based EMS at the Journal of Emergency Medical Services[2]. He was previously a Scientific Researcher at the Center for Mind and Brain Studies at Bard College at Simon's Rock[3][4][5][6], the former Advocacy Chair of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee at the American Heart Association, and Chairman of the Board at the Health Advocacy and Medical Exploration Society[7]. He is also a columnist on CPR and First-aid[8][9], an undergraduate lecturer in Emergency Medical Services[10][11], and a grassroots activist for emergency medicine and public health issues[12][13][14][15]. In 2018 Ventura received the American Heart Association Heartsaver Hero Award.[16] He is currently the principal investigator investigating EMS response to COVID-19 in the United States[17][18][19][20][21] as well as the Vermont Advocacy Coordinator for the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.[22]
