Christian Voß (born 14 June 1989) is a German former racing driver and current Managing Director of the CV Performance Group. He competed in karting actively until 2010, before founding the team, which currently competes in the ADAC GT4 Germany, as well as in various karting series, such as the CIK-FIA European and World championships.[1]
Driving career[edit]
Voss made his name on the international karting scene, where he would win the World Cup in four-stroke karts in 2007.[2] A year after, he also came out victorious in the ADAC Kart Masters.[3] The German also competed in various Formula Ford and Formula 3 series, before quitting single-seater racing as a consequence of the 2008 financial crash.[4]
Team management[edit]
In 2010, Voss stepped back from actively competing in karts to found his own outfit, the HTP Kart Team, later renamed to CV Performance Group Kart Racing.[5]
2019 proved to be a particularly successful season in karting for Voss and his squad, as after winning the WSK Euro Series and CIK-FIA European Championship,[6] Lorenzo Travisanutto brought home the Karting World Championship in the OK Senior category.[7]
Having established a GT racing branch of the team in cooperation with Mercedes-AMG,[8] Voss fielded CV Performance in the DTM Trophy in 2021, where driver William Tregurtha narrowly missed out on the title.[9][10][11] Near the end of the following season, CV Performance would take part in a one-off guest start at the Hockenheimring, a year in which the team also brought forward two full-time entries in the ADAC GT4 Germany.[12][13] Julian Hanses and Theo Oeverhaus took a pair of third places at Zandvoort, before Hanses and Tregurtha finished second in Race 1 at the Sachsenring.[14] As well as that, CV Performance Group took titles in the GTC Race in 2022.[15]
