Christoffer Prokic born 6 September 1988, is a Swedish computer security researcher and computer programmer.
He is also founder and CISO of computer security company Cybertrigo.
Projects and discoveries
He developed SSH honeypot tool HUDINX to log brute force attacks and other suspicious threats for companies and open source development.
Declared in 2001 that communications accessed by Ericsson’s Bluetooth phone adapter were capable of being wiretapped and that the Bluetooth’s encryption methods could be conquered quite simply. The first speculation was centered around the use common in many various applications of a four-digit PIN.
A PIN is only as secure as its user; the vast majority of PINs remain set to the master reset of 1234 or 0000. Security can be further compromised when the ability exists to store the PIN inside the memory of a Bluetooth device.
